• Tube structure: mirror polished 316L stainless steel welded pipe. Diameter 22 – 30 mm, wall thickness 1,5-2 mm as selected. Tubes are bended to desired shape based on the 3D model

Q1 Can i use my existing canvas?

No, the Original Sprayhood Frame is designed as a new structure, so a new sprayhood top must be made locally over the frame for a proper fit and finish.​
A local canvas maker or sail loft will pattern and sew the new canvas on your installed frame, just as with any custom sprayhood project.

Q2 Do you really ship without visiting the boat?

Yes, the Original Sprayhood Frame is specifically designed to be built from your measurements and delivered anywhere in the EU without a yard visit.​
You receive clear measuring instructions so the frame matches your deck fittings and boom position even if the boat is far from our workshop.​

Q3: What if my measurements are wrong?

Minor deviations are usually manageable.​ If the error is larger, contact Freyaframes and your canvas maker; in most cases the solution is to adjust fitting positions or replace individual parts, not to force or “rebend” the whole frame. If you choose 3D scanning (for example with iPhone or Samsung S-series phone), the frame is designed directly on a precise 3D model of your cockpit, which practically eliminates measurement errors.

​Q4: Can I fold it down for racing?

Yes, a sprayhood frame is normally designed to fold forward or aft when not in use, so it does not disturb sail trim or visibility during racing.​
When ordering, you can choose geometry that keeps the stacked frame as low and compact as possible on the coachroof.

Q5: How do I select the proper tube size?

For most cruising sailboats 25 mm stainless tube is good starting point; for heavier boats, wide cockpits or hard offshore use, a 30 mm tube gives extra stiffness and less flex in rough conditions, for smaller boats in 25ft. range 22 mm can offer some weight savings.​
If you are unsure, match the size of any existing bimini/rail tubing on your boat so the look and fittings stay consistent.
